My name is Norma Carranza. I am the owner, hands, and artist behind AmysNooks.

I started AmysNooks back in 2014, after I got married. “Amy” is what my family calls me, from my middle name Amparo. “Nooks” because I was combining the words needles and hooks. Behold, the name AmysNooks was created!

I learned to crochet when I was a teenager. My mom would show me a little at a time, and with enough practice and patience, I finally got it down. I taught myself how to knit in college to ease my mind and find the slow in my fast pace life. Knitting and crocheting have become more than a hobby for me; It’s a beautiful creative lifestyle.

I’m a homeschooling mama of two.

I love the outdoors and adventure.

I’m also a fur mama to 1 beautiful Chihuahua. [RIP to my fur baby Bruno.]
